El Salvador Aida Batlle Selection Santa Ana Blend
El Salvador Aida Batlle Selection Santa Ana Blend
Our Reserve selection is made up of the very finest single origin coffees that we can find at the moment. They are a wonderful way to expand your coffee palate and discover something new.
Tasting Notes: Cocoa, Currant, Sugary Sweet
Origin: Santa Ana, El Salvador
Process: Natural, Washed, Cascara
We are excited to share a blend of three Salvadoran coffees from the Santa Ana region, sourced from rock star producer Aida Batlle, whom we have been fortunate to know and work with for many years. This particular blend comes from her Aida Batlle Selection (ABS) program, which finds the most exceptional single-lot coffees in El Salvador and helps them reach the global market. (Read more about Aida in our Producer Highlight!)
Each of the three coffees in this harmonious blend uses a different processing method:
- Natural Coffee from Finca Sierra Nevada contributes smooth body and hints of currant.
- Washed coffee, also from Finca Sierra Nevada, gives balanced acidity.
- Cascara processed coffee (fermented along with a tea made from the skins of coffee cherries) adds complexity and a touch of fruitiness.
It all comes together in a sweet and supremely clean cup with silky-smooth mouthfeel and notes of cocoa and currant.
In order to ensure freshness and quality, we do not pre-grind our coffee. We recommend grinding right before brewing.
Please Note: Due to limited quantities, we roast Reserve coffees every other week.
