Paying homage to what is thought to be the oldest known coffee blend, our Mocha Java is an earthy Indonesian coffee blended with a beautiful, fruity natural African. It offers a well-balanced sip, rich with notes of dark chocolate, almond, and berry.
Going back 500 years, the original Mocha Java blend combined coffees from the major ports of what are now Yemen and Java. As coffee crops spread, beans from Ethiopia and Sumatra often were (and still are) used as higher quality replacements but still marketed as "Mocha" and "Java." But all these years later, the blending philosophy remains the same: use a mellow, full-bodied Indonesian to complement the big fruity acidity of an Ethiopian coffee.
