Burundi Mutana Natural

Burundi Mutana Natural

Our Reserve selection is made up of the very finest single origin coffees that we can find at the moment. They are a wonderful way to expand your coffee palate and discover something new.

Tasting Notes: Honey, Citrus, Jammy Fruit
Origin: Kayanza Province, Burundi
Process: Natural

This exceptional microlot coffee was produced by the farmers of the Mutana hill community in Burundi, East Africa, who all bring their beans to the Heza Coffee Washing Station for processing. Heza, meaning "beautiful place" in the local language, is the second processing site established by the Long Miles Coffee Project, which helps give these great coffees access to the market while improving the livelihoods of the smallholder farmers who grow them.

We have been purchasing coffee from Burundi for many years, and it is remarkable how the quality has improved. We are so pleased to be able to share Burundi Mutana with you now. What we love about this cup is its complex flavor profile, which stands out from the rest with notes of honey, citrusy acidity, and jammy fruit, complemented by nutty undertones.

In order to ensure freshness and quality, we do not pre-grind our coffee. We recommend grinding right before brewing.
